Souvenir de voyage

Some pages from the traveling sketchbook I took with me in US. My fav is the "Poo Temple" on the left corner of the second page, that place was the funniest!

Set them free!

New year, no new resolutions. Don't need them since my old once are still there for me... drawing more, start new arty projects, try to do more watercolors, try to lear landscapes, etc, etc. I've so many resolutions that I don't need any for many years to come. But to start good I'm tidying my archive and I found many drawing of 2016 I haven't published ;)
Hello 2017, I'm getting ready!

Blues River Notes

Since I'm spending more and more time dancing this is also inspiring me in other aspect of my life... like drawing. This artwork is an idea to promote our blues-dance community in Milan, a really small but passionate group. I would love to silk-print it on some t-shirt and bags but I don't know if will' be able to have any budget for that.. ç_ç Let's hope!

Shingeki no Bahamut

Some month ago I don't know how I managed to find time to watch anime and I totally felt in love with the character design of Shingeki no Bahamut, when you think of those manga with mono-expressive main characters you're not referring to Favaro. And funny fact, he's a thief, a liar and gesticulate a lot, and guess what? He has an Italian name... shit! We have a really bad reputation in my country, sigh.

Patternized

It's about two years that I've started swing dancing. Entering this community have been a really exciting, I've meet thousands funny people, discovered a new way of listening and interacting with music and with my body... an A++ experience.
After many delays and abandoned sketches I've finally made a pattern with the portraits of some of the people that have started this "adventure" with me..!

Of flesh and bones

I realized that it's useless to bring my sketch book on holiday with me, I'm not able to concentrate and find the time to draw when everything around me is terribly interesting and new. Despite wandering around on tumbler is very inspiring, there are tons of beautiful photos, every time I open my dashboard it gives me the will to draw. The last image is a bit different, it's a "copy" of a photo they made to a friend and me at Tempelhof park in Berlin.

Saudade portraits

I went for a three day trip in Lisbon, everything (and everybody) was so colorful and nice. I tried to bring the sketchbook during the visits, but in the end the only place where I found the time to seat and draw was at the airport waiting for the boarding... however once back I've done this quick doodle inspired by some funny surnames my friend S. has invented.

30 day drawing challenge

Now that my studies are over and I've more free time, I've decided to do a drawing challenge: draw one hour a day for all May. I will not follow a schedule, just doodling and finishing and rearranging old stuff, like this drawing...

You can buy all you can see

One month ago I took part to a little exposition and those are the illustrations I've made during a couple hour of "live drawing". They were in sold (5$ each) and in theory the one with the bear on the bike have been booked by a friend... but it seems like she has completely forget about it. If you want any you are still in time to write me and get yours... you can pay me with a "cappuccino e brioche".
Ah,ah.

She said "boobs"

A girl ask me a drawing for commission: an undead female warrior. I said "I hate to draw armors"she answer "A pair of boobs will be enough" so here they are.
If I'll have courage I'll upload on Tweeria this picture too, we'll se if people like it ^^
(I know it's not on the same style of the other one but I'm totally unable to make two similar drawings in a row)

A mysterious huntress

I've done the fist fantasy artwork of my life (if I don't consider the awful drawings of my childhood)!
I've been inspired by a new game I'm playing on twitter, it's named Tweeria and is the laziest RPG game I've ever seen. I totally love it. It's just about to loggin and continue to tweet like always: your character will do all by himself. Brilliant.
So... I make a drawing of a "faceless huntress" one of the races of the game... I hope Tweeria's Team will accept my submission, it would be very funny to see it on the "market".

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

The dream starts, I'm wearing some white lolita shoes and a tiny skirt. I follow my own feet in a crowded dance floor, the music is so hight that my brain has decided to stop working and just to follow the beat.
He is dancing with some blonde nymphet, I don't care, I'm dancing too. Suddenly my eyes fell in to some blue eyes, his. He grabs my hand, I fly through the dance floor and then again I look into those eyes in a cloud of smoke. I open my mouth and blow the smoke of my cigarets to his face. He vanishes.

This story has absolutely nothing to do with the drawing, but I had a dream in which I was writing this post and there was exactly this story and then… dunno.
I make different variants of the picture because I was not sure of what kind of results I was looking for. Still I can't say which one I prefer. Perhaps the white one, or the orange, well the green also has something nice…
The main thing is not to try to give a sense to the pic. There isn't any. Or maybe if there's one, it is made of the same substance that dreams are made of. (glycemia)

This little post scriptum is dedicated to Photoshop, who crashed three times while I was drawing this pic. Thanks, I love you like hell.

The Raven, the Howl and Gundam in a yuri scenario

I'm about to disappear, or more likely I'll continue not to appear. The reason is that I haven't put to use my spear time during holidays to continue drawing and tomorrow school will re-start bringing with her a new exams session. How fun!
Well... before I'll horribly die due to the excess of school work I've decided to update one last illustration. This time the title is quite explicative, or at list for me...
As you can see I've tried some new technique like to remove the profile line in some part of the image and to put a lot of colors apparently at random, of course I'm joking the colors are absolutely well considered and balanced.
What else to say... happy new year, I wish you plenty of time full of joy, friends, alcohol and so.

Some kind of magic

streghette_witch
So much time has passed by... I've come back to my school routine that has absorbed almost all my energies..! I've found this old drawing in a forgotten folder named "unfinished work from Montréal" and I've decided to bring it to life. I'll offer some chocolate biscuits at the one who will be able to guess from that I've taken inspiration for those five characters. Come on!

Burn after watching

I never post new drawings, guess why...! Those are part of my last illustration course in Montréal (Oh, Montréal I miss you soo much), they are supposed to be a kind of postcards with strange characters on them... or something like that. I've tried to let the outline rough and just put some colored spots with watercolors. Yo.

I miss me.

Granma is very ill, home is a mess, my parents are getting even more crazy than usual and all the people in this little seaside village are making me depressed (but that's the only really normal thing). Coming back home is a real pleasure (like it was to be expected). While studying my useless anthropology books (I wonder if I am still in a design class) I've found time to re-style and finish this drawing. It's a homage to some not-very-old happy times. Enjoy it for me, because at this moment I feel a bit like Eleanor Rigby and her f**** jar.

Where's february gone?

Here is a character (the Princess of the Crystal, that's a silly name) from the anime Mawaru Penguindrum (that's an other silly one) in three different styles of drawing; the first one is inspired by McBess, the second has a rough pencil line I take from some illustration of new Tank Girl's comics and an art book of Ashley Wood. The third is inspired by a drawing of Claire Wendling but I wasn't able to reproduce the softness of the line and the colors of her style... neither the proportion she uses... a total fail.
But anyway it was funny to try.

Do people really change?

Fumettisti scalanti tetti a Osaka

Proseguiamo lungo la mia tabella di marcia, finiti i lavori per i concorsi mi attendono un po' di esercizi vari per non perdere la mano, visto che appena iniziata l'università le perderò entrambe.
Ecco quindi i primi risultati:
volevo da infinito tempo fare un disegno tributo a Tele, l'uomo della mia vita! Il magnifico incrocio di una Punk e un canguro, partorito dalla mente annacquata di Jamie Hewlett, il creatore dei Gorillaz.
Il secondo è invece un disegno ispirato a Tokyo, di Seth Fisher, un tizio idiota che non ha avuto di meglio da fare che morire cadendo da un tetto e privarci di tutte le possibili magnifiche tavole che le sue mani avrebbero potuto creare...
